Where should I start?
If you fancy a twice weekly get together to learn simple songs and dances in a friendly atmosphere, then best join us for our pantomime rehearsals starting in October. You will mix with people of all ages and abilities and share a lot of laughter. By show week you will have made many new friends.
If, however, you want to challenge yourself with lines to learn and characters to portray, then check out the audition dates for our next production. Past experience is not always needed.
If you would enjoy joining in with simple woodworking, painting and other creative stuff once a week and finding a use for that electric drill, then Sunday mornings will be for you. Immensely satisfying work, that does not necessarily require huge amounts of technical skill.
Yet there's more... There are so many other aspects to theatre production: designing programmes, lighting, sound, sourcing props, finding costumes, designing publicity materials, maintaining this website. These are vital roles, but as a new member please remember that they are very intermittent and much easier to do once you have got to know a few people. We want people to do things they enjoy. So we recommend you come along and sit in on rehearsals for a few weeks, get to know people and help us to find out what you would enjoy.
We want to keep live theatre in our small community and it really is a case of 'the more the merrier'. So if you find any of these things of interest then please do join us. We really are a friendly bunch!
