Earlier this month, we were delighted to run a drama workshop for the Twyford Round Table. As well as being behind the weekend’s excellent fireworks display – which they organise every year – the Twyford group is part of a national movement to give young men (aged 18-45) a place to meet, make friends and exchange ideas. They get involved in their local communities and support men’s mental health.
As one of their socials, on the 2nd of October they came to visit us down at Loddon Hall for a fun 1.5 hour drama workshop. Run by our own Marc Reid, with support from group members Richard Rudman, Sally Gillard, Mary Steel and Emma Cianchi, the evening consisted of a fun warm up exercise, trying out some typical pantomime scenes, and even acting out some brand new short scripts written by our own writing group members Mary Steel, Mike Higgins and Emma Cianchi. Great fun was had by all, and as well as allowing the Round Table members to try their hands at something new, it was a great opportunity for two local groups to get together and learn more about what each other do.
